No Grounding No Power

Power is not something to be attained, it needs to be harnessed. Much like a flower, if the flower doesn’t bloom, fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower. Power does not exist in a vacuum, it needs to be held and contained. A certain amount of structure must be maintained in one’s life if his her end goal is to wield power.

Structure is all about laying down a solid foundation so that your house has strong legs to stand on. It is what provides the fortitude one needs in order to overcome obstacles in life, including those which are health related. In Chinese medicine, external structure is synonymous with Yang chi/energy while the internal scaffolding is represented by Yin chi/energy, namely visceral organs. The strength of Yin energy transforms into Yang energy which allows the external structure to thrive and flourish. This is one of the rudimentary principles of Chinese medicine focusing on the dynamic relationship between what exists on the inside and outside.

Because Chinese medicine views health in a holistic manner, the focus is always on energy flow and completing the circuit. In a nutshell, the more input of Yin energy ( internal organs ), the stronger output of Yang energy ( external power ). Moreover, it creates a positive feedback loop in which the more power one is able to generate externally, that physically manifested energy will boomerang back to further nourish the internal organs. It’s analogous to grounding a car battery when charging. Electricity needs a complete circuit to flow. When charging a car battery, the charger provides the positive current flow while the ground connection ( negative terminal ) provides the return path for the current to complete the circuit.

So the next time you experience a short where your battery needs recharging, don’t hesitate to seek out Chinese medicine to fine-tune the inside…IT’S AN INSIDE JOB AFTERALL!
